Elizabeth Ann Gaffney

   Another name for Elizabeth was Lizzie Gaffney.

Had 3 daughters and a son. Knitted a lot. Collected pots, cups & saucers etc. Joyce nicknamed her "Nasty Lizzie!"

She went blind before she died.

Her brother (according to Joyce Grieves) was killed in the Navy in WW1. No trace found on CWGC website.

Elizabeth married Robert William Jones, son of William Jones and Sarah Penrith, in 1893 in Hob Hill Church, Stalybridge, Cheshire.¹⁷¹ (Robert William Jones was born on 5 May 1876 in Stalybridge, Cheshire ^20,52, baptised on 7 Oct 1876 in St. John's Chapel, Dukinfield, Cheshire ¹¹³ and died on 21 Feb 1946 in 26 Enville Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne, Lancashire.)
